Day 162 Esfahan - Atashgah (Zoroastrian Fire Temple)

After leaving the bird park we followed the river a bit more and finally got to a hill with an crumbling fortress and an old zoroastrian fire temple on top. It was a very athmospheric place, especially in the late afternoon sun. A little drawback was the polution which we smelt and felt more and more the higher we climbed. Nevertheless it was a sight which I would not liked to have missed. After climbing down we felt a bit tired form the early wakeup, so I decided to skip visiting the shaking minarettes - Yannik has seen them before and according to him it is not very impressive.
