Very relaxing day. After several days full of city noise, wonderful people and music I had to say goodbye to Istanbul. I crossed the Bosporus one last time and had one more short walk to the ferry across the Marmara sea to Bandirma. Istanbul seems to be a very livable place. I especially liked the Asian side. I can't really describe why but half an hour after arrived on that side I knew that if I ever was to stay longer in Istanbul this would be my place to live.
In Bandirma I met Arthur again - everything was fine, the hotel had taken good care of him and the bulk of my luggage. The rest of the day I was pretty lazy - just resting for the cycling days to come.
