Day 073 Beçin - Kultak

After reassuring that noone was eaten by a snake or a scorpion in the night by counting through this morning we declared our camping place as perfect. While we were feasting on breakfast so people responsible for the picnic place came, just greeted friendly and started playing football. Wild camping really is no problem in Turkey.
But as beautiful as it was, we had to leave our perfect camping spot to start cycling. The topography gave us a lot of problems today - in the morning a lot of ups and downs through forests and along a huge pit mine until we reached peak no. 1, than a fast ride down changing between massive industrial buildings and very scenic parts reminding me of Sächsische Schweiz. We took a delicious lunch at a small place in the town of Ören nearly on sea level where I nearly forgot my mobile - fortunately I realized that when we were only some hundred meters away, so I got it back after a short spring to the restaurant. Yesterday Jörgs wallet, today my mobile, tomorrow it is Wolles turn to forget something really important. With my equipment complete again we started the long ascend to peak no. 2, me pushing Arthur instead of cycling. We reached the top after many breaks and people offering me a lift in a pickup and cooled our heated muscles at a public well on a graveyard. Even after that there were some uphill parts but the overall tendency was down, so we could start enjoying the dramatic valley on our left side. After gathering close to 1100m of ascend we reached the sea and decided to spend the night on a crescent shaped beach. After a huge cyclist style dinner we used the chance to swim in the blue mediterranean sea under the full moon before the mosquitos drove us in the relative security of our tents.
