Day 097 Göreme

I decided to stay a day in Göreme together with Michal. In the morning we went to the Göreme open air museum which was a big disappointment. Most of cappadocia we had nearly for ourself but seems to be the single place where busloads of tour groups are dumped. The museum consists of some rock churches - most of them actually really nice and few with wonderful frescoes. The problem was: you could enter most churches only after some waiting and once you made it in you could not move much. We soon retreated from this crowded and expensive place and started exploring some of the nearby crumbling rock houses instead - this was a free and much more exciting pleasure. We found a hidden church, a monastery, a half collapsed cathedral and many dwellings within the strange rock formations.
After a afternoon nap we set off for a sunset hike through a valley with very strange rock formations. Once again a bitch befriended us and followed us for most of the dark way back to Göreme.
Thanks to Michał there is finally a photo of both Trabant and me, yeah!
